Daisy Chain and Ring Topologies

Multiple Services in a Daisy Chain Topology

Many applications in the utilities,

transportation and mobile sectors

require linking geographically distant

communications field units – containing

controllers, signaling mechanisms,

alarms, surveillance devices, key systems

or telephony switches and management

stations – in a daisy chain topology. This

is to save on leased line costs or

because infrastructure is lacking. The

Airmux-200, combined with RAD’s

dedicated data/voice multiplexers, is an

effective end-to-end solution and

attractive alternative to expensive

terrestrial or microwave links.
